Grants Inspire Study

A mini-grant from the Fred C. and Mary R. Koch Foundation enabled students at Wichita High School North to take their course work into the field for hands-on learning. Mini-grants, which are to be used for a specific purpose, broaden students' learning experiences and support classroom projects.

Bill of Rights Institute Educated Students Achieve Higher Scores on Civic Knowledge Survey

A Kansas-wide assessment of middle and high school students found students educated by teachers who attended professional development programs offered by the Bill of Rights Institute performed better than students of teachers who had not attended one of the organization’s programs. Funding provided by Fred C. and Mary R. Koch Foundation has made Bill of Rights Institute programs possible in Kansas.

Wichita Eagle: Wetlands on Display - Koch Foundation Gives $500,000 to Cheyenne Bottoms

Scheduled to open in April 2009, the Kansas Wetlands Education Center will include the Koch Wetlands Exhibit, made possible by a donation from the Fred C. and Mary R. Koch Foundation. The center is located at the Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area near Great Bend. Visitors will be able to experience the beauty and diversity of the wetlands as well as learn about the importance of wetlands.
